Default Saleen 12-013 and 12-014

I am in no way connected to this dealership, but in case anyone is looking for a new Saleen, I just looked at two on my way home from work. They're located at Jordan Ford in San Antonio. 12-014 is blue and priced at $51K and change. 12-013 is red and priced at $74K and change. They are nice cars, but I don't know if I would give up my 07 for them.

1ZVBP8CF5C5210164 is a Race Red premium coupe that came from Santa Margarita Ford and might have been converted into a Yellow Label for display at Knotts 2011.

1ZVBP8CF5C5240880 is a Kona Blue premium coupe that came from Villa Ford.

The pricing on these cars is ridiculous. Who would buy a brand new car like this when you can get an extreme for around $32,000?

The difference in the two cars above is not enough to justify a $74K price tag.

The photos above show a stock Mustang GT and a Yellow Label conversion.

For $74,000.00, 12-0013 is probably a 302 S/C Black Label. The vehicle "might" have been re-manufactured a second time.

The red vehicle I saw tonight looks nothing like in the previous pictures. It has definitely been upgraded. It's sporting the chrome 5 spokes, full Saleen body kit, supercharged, full interior upgrade. It appears to have pretty much everything.

I think it's a stretch to assume there are $32k E cars all over the place too- I do agree with you though.

I would take an Extreme any day of the week, over that. I am still not use to that new body style as of yet.

There is a local guy here in Virginia who has sold two Extremes for 30-33 thousand with about 25-30k miles on them. Lately, I have seen more extremes for sale locally than SC or 3-Valves...

If you check the for sale section, most guys end up selling after lowering the prices to the low thirties.

Maybe I'll trade up down the road.

I've seen several clean, low-mile, S/C cars in the VA area sell for anywhere between $28-34 depending on options- but I haven't really seen that many E cars.

I think to get into an Extreme for low 30's isn't the norm and is a pretty crazy deal considering the car. I have seen several sell for the low 40's- but not many, if any in the low 30's. I'd love to know where you're finding these deals, as I'm in Virginia too.

Fastbreak, check out hi-endauto in Appomattox, VA. I went and looked at a Redfire Extreme not too long ago, but I just didn't like the color. He will get a couple in every few months. The redfire car was listed for 32.9, so I am sure someone got it for a little less. There were a couple at the beach selling on craigslist for 33-35 grand also. Just keep your eyes peeled, and you will find one eventually. Looking back, I wish I would have originally purchased an Extreme.

I would have to agree with Fastbreak. I believe he got lucky with his extreme. But you never know how much a dealer screwed someone on a trade-in.
