Question Detailing Saleen grille and bumper plastics?

Just wondering what you guys use for cleaning the Saleen plastics, grille, louvers, and around the rear plate? Also any tips on what I can use to treat the exterior weatherstripping? This is for a 2007 s281 sc thanks!

I have found Detailed Image (http://www.detailedimage.com/) to be a very valuable site. I like the 303 Aerospace for the plastics and the Einszett 1Z Gummi Pflege Stift Rubber Care Stick for the rubber weather stripping.

I used Meguiars plastic trim something or other. I'll see about the name and number. It's not in stores, got it through the website. I used an inexpensive foam 1 inch brush for the grill and rear panel black. It really darkened it up and seems to be keeping dark after a couple years. Side view mirrors, window trims. I used the blue paint tape to keep it off where it wasn't needed. I think there's a green tape popular with detailers. I think the vinyl, rubber used something different.

I recommend Mothers Protectant for textured plastics and rubber and the like.

A little trick I learned is to take 1 part Protectant and 1 or 2 parts water and mix in a separate adjustable nozzle sprayer (mark it so you know what it is). This makes it easy to finely mist it over broader areas, and it's especially nice on the honeycomb grilles of the older cars that are impossible to deal with. The mist allows you to get a thinner, more even coat, and when the extra water evaporates it looks natural and should require little if any buffing. It's also great for under the hood. Any overspray can be wiped away with an Instant Detailer like Mothers Showtime or a Spray Wax (or lay towels or mask to minimize overspray).

I'll gladly send you a sample.

I have Meguiars gold class trim detailer. it states plastic, rubber and I am happy with it on the side view mirrors, windshshield washer arm pocket, front grill, rear panel fill and the black window trim. I have their vinyl product for the front windshield gasket though this might work too. uba#5822-0018 and made in usa G10810 for numbers.
