First things first, I do have the heat exchanger in stock for your S331. Unfortunately, as of Monday we had to take down our Ebay store because of a cease and desist by Mr Steve Saleen. I understand your frustration with their lack of customer service, let it be known that you are not the only one. Actually on a daily basis I get multiple calls asking why they never call customers back. If anybody else needs parts for their Saleen vehicle please feel free to email me dave@speedlabllc or call me @ 248-444-6562

Let's try to hold back on the side commentary, please. If anyone has issues contacting Saleen in California, please drop me a line.

Default Replacement parts for SALEEN's (trucks and 'stangs)

I am currently looking at and evaluating a 2007 S331 F-150 truck for sale in TX. Part of my research and evaluation includes the accessibility and availability of replacement parts. I love the SALEEN's, but because of the "Caveat" below, the love is losing its impact.

CAVEAT:
I understand that many people rely on available parts over many mediums, including eBay for their SALEEN's (trucks and cars). There is a large population of discussion not only here on SOEC, but in many other blogs all over the web of SALEEN owners who are having more and more trouble obtaining OEM parts. It's a darn shame that the current factory is unable to meet the demands for producing them.

Please help me to understand what I don't get -- if there is (or now 'was') an available resource(es) for parts (i.e., the eBay store now closed), doesn't it benefit both drivers and SALEEN to have parts accessible at best overall, to see these amazing beasts out on the road, advertising the brand with happy customers? If vehicles are unable to obtain parts from someone who HAS them, but now cannot offer them, this does not benefit anyone. Please help me understand why this is the case...

I do hope that SALEEN has a working ops plan ready to launch SOON to manufacture and produce the American icon parts here in the US. I myself, and I know many others highly recommend the availability without cease, of what we can get, until this ops plan at the factory comes to fruition. The business that comes SALEEN's way, and the happy customers, is worth more than just business.

Hi Deborhaha. Parts for specialty vehicles can be a difficult to locate and produce. Vehicles from both large and small manufactures have this caveat.

Both Jim and I were part of the Mustang SVO community. This model had replacement parts shortages before they were 10-years-old. I was once the owner of a second generation Taurus SHO. Again, by the mid-2000s this model lost parts support from FMC.

If someone is into specialty vehicles, it is best to keep a private parts stash with items you "may" need. Both mechanical and appearance items.

In a number of cases, demand for Saleen replacement equipment is less than what a production run requires.

The parts you reference on eBay were old production stock from 2007 and 2008 with few exceptions. A number of parts for late model Saleen vehicles have not been reproduced. Replacements are coming from remaining production inventory.

It was believed persons connected to these eBay stores were acting outside of their agreement to sell old parts.

Enthusiasts can purchase replacement parts from Dave and Jarred through this forum until we are informed otherwise.

We do not believe anyone is trying to stop the sale of parts. Rather a reminder to operate within bounds.

Default Replacement parts?

I have an 07 #345 and some **** munch tried to rip the tail gate appliqué off my truck in a parking lot. Luckily they got busted but in the attempt they brok the side of it.

Any leads on getting Saleen to stop holding out and make one up for an actual owner?

Someone's hoarding I guess! Steve really meant power in the hands of a few literally. I need 2 and have been looking for over a year. There's a set on eBay now if you have $ to burn for 3k

If there are no wheels left it looks like we will have to replace all 4 wheels with 24 inch as 23 is an odd size and very expensive in the aftermarrket world.
