Default Supercharger oil fill

Getting some conflicting comments on the amount of oil the supercharger takes.

Saleen is telling me (I called) 8oz, while Brenspeed is telling someone else 1 full pint.

But yet Saleen's instructions say 1 pint.
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/82...Vi-Series.html

And yet members here are saying 8oz.

I did a oil change recently and had my guy do 8oz so I hope that's correct.

???

Thanks

If memory serves it’s 8oz. If you can you can see oil at the plug should be good.

My buddy got this 2007 Saleen project with a supercharger that needs conditioning. We'll just finish installing the brake pads and dually wheels on the Superduty this week before we can clear the garage and take her in. The owner of the Saleen confirmed we'll be needing 8oz of oil for the supercharger.

Guys,
As the shop that has serviced more of the Series VI superchargers than anyone else, I can say changing the oil is not the critical aspect of maintaining the supercharger. The oil will out live the seal and grease inside. If you havent had your supercharger serviced in 4yrs/40k miles, please give us a call.

But yes, it is in fact 8oz of oil.

This is what happens when the superchargers are not serviced on time: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...7118930&type=3
