Default Sail panel warped

i was washing, waxing my saleen today and noticed rite about the back windshield where the sail panel meets it theres a gap and its not sitting flush with the roof line. its not coming off alot but enough to where i can notice it and or if your looking. so i took off the interior panel on the inside to see if a bolt was loose and nope. so ive come to the conclution im gonna have to use some double sided tape. its dosent take much pressure to hold it down flush..but then again all im wanting is a tape to seal off the gap, anything thats help holds it down is a plus, cause really i dont want water to be getting down there.

ive got some pics ill upload later but what kind of double sided tape or really anything should i use to hold it down?

thanks

Good luck. I had a set of 2 piece panels and they were warped real bad.

its crazy, i was just like what! the rust luckily was just on the surface and was able wipe off....it dosent take much pressure to hold it down, i found some industrial sided tape and tested out using an old exhaust hanger and a can and held great, pulling force it would not come off, i had to tear off at an angle so my give it a try and double it up or so just help fill gap and also not as much stress

Is that rust there, or the old tape? If that is rust starting, I would deal with that before reattaching it properly.

yupp :( the picture makes the rust look worse than it really was. it was just as wide as the rubber seal on panel, im guessing it did sit flush at some time. when i took off the interior panel and checked all the bolts all were tight as could be. i was able to remove the rust with an cloth

instead of double sided tape i used an expanding foam strip we use on barn roofs/tin roofs to keep dirt, bugs or whatever out of gaps and expands up to 1/2. as tight as the gap was the foam is staying very tight

heres the outcome
