Default Seeking info on 93-0068

Anyone know some history on this car? I've been in touch with the current owner and he will let it go. Thanks.

Car was sold as a project car out of Texas in autumn of 2017. Then went to New Jersey.

Vehicle was dismantled for an exterior repaint which took place over the winter of 2018.

After repaint, car was offered for sale as a repainted project car in need of assembly. No sale.

Vehicle was reassembled during spring 2018 and as was offered for sale, again.

Car has been on the market since 2018.

Thanks, this pretty much confirms everything the seller told me, and why it hasn't sold maybe. Price is a little high I think.

I believe we once heard 40K. At least 30s back in 2018.

Nothing has really changed....I guess I'm right on assuming it's too much? Has anyone laid eyes on this car since it's been finished?

Yes. It's a 65,000 mile (?) car that had a cosmetic redo. Driven, used, modified. It's up to the interested parties to see how well the engine compartment was put back together (harnesses etc), to see how the modifications were erased or incorporated and overall condition of the original interior and suspension.

40K is a premium price. The bummer with this vehicle is it uses the off-the-shelf stripes from SPP. No fault to the owner, but the side stripes are an incorrect shade and the replacement "Racecraft" fender decals use a different font than original. I believe the 302 hood decals were missing too.

Which in the scheme of things are "little things," but it just doesn't look right. For 40K the legwork needs to happen to make it right.

Fair enough.

It's not the color I really want anyway, I was intrigued by the rarity of it being a 93' and that's about it. I didn't really care for the car being heavily modified and then being put back to original, because who knows if it was done correctly as you mentioned.

Thanks for all of your help/info.

There are a handful of 3rd generation Mustangs (Saleen Mustangs) that have that history. Receiving modifications during the early days and then during late '90s/'00s coming apart to go back to resemble a stock vehicle. Time and quality of outcome have a way of erasing the past.
