Q: Meth injection, anyone else doing it?
Just had this baby installed, IAT's no longer an issue. Just need to get it tuned and see what the gains could be.
Anyone else try this? |

I use water/meth injection. I have the Snow Stage 3 with the 2.5 gal tank in my trunk. I would caution you not to get too aggressive with your tune in regards to AF correction. You are not guaranteed that each cylinder will be getting the same mixture. You will still see gains though due to lower intake temps.

Okay, this is good information, I have the stage 2 from Snow.
https://www.snowperformance.net/Stag...o-2130-brd.htm My tuner has good experience with Meth, but i think you are correct to really be safe with A/F as the dispersion may not be equal. What kind of power gains did you see with that? I need to find a 2.7 pulley, as with the cooler temps it could be worth to max the super charger out now. I already have innovators west H/H, thump tensioner, and Mosaleen set up. I think Brenspeed has pulleys, need to check |

I don’t really have any specific dyno results before and after. Always others things that were changed. I’d say you’d see a little improvement on the dyno, but it’s such a short pull it doesn’t have time to heat up the intake temps like a trip down the 1320. That’s where you’ll see the difference... real world. You can log your timing and really see how it’s helping. I run E85 now so I run a bunch of timing, but still use meth/water injection to keep the intake temps down especially for 1/2 mile runs.

Seelye, where is your nozzle installed? I had it on the Dyno and no difference in IAT...I'm sure it's set up right. I have the spacer after the throttle.body made by snow where it injects.

I have two nozzles. 1 pre throttle body and 1 post throttle body.

Where do you get the nozzle plate , does it change the CAI placement?

We run methanol quite a bit now. After much effort we have found the absolute best location to allow the meth to plume perfectly. The results were huge and IAT's plummeted. I will not share the location simply due to efforts went into figuring out its location and the complexity of the location. We will be offering installing it into the superchargers when we service them. If you buy a meth kit from us, that support will be given. But meth is a IAT savior!

Nozzle plate is from SNOW and does not effect CAI placement.

Sorry, I just saw this question. Snow has the nozzle plate that is after the TB. It's just a spacer.
