Again thanks for the info! Great to know what size pulley is on there, i want to do everything around the pulley to gain power, if i can get to 550whp without touching the blower pulley ill be all good! I know all about feathering the throttle and clutch coming from my BMW 335, though it wasn't a beast like the S281E i still got it to 420whp and 440wtq in a 6MT, The Saleen is definitely a different animal though, and my traction problems are more in the higher range RPM like the top of second and 3rd when i lose traction, i had the same issues in the 335 and that car not having a LSD but wide sticky tires did fix that.

Just got the car dyno tuned! Made 487whp on a Clayton Dyno! I am really happy with the results! It seems that my fuel pumps or one of the pumps may be going out though so i need to change those out and finish up the tuning but the car feels crazy fast!

Some interesting news, when my car was on the dyno B&D noticed some issues with the fuel pressure from the pumps and so we decided to go ahead and install a pair of the GT500 fuel pumps, i had thought that the S281 Extreme cars came with those pumps already but i guess because it is an 06 and the GT500 came out in 07 the car did come with different fuel pumps, they were not the same as the GT500 pumps, and also do not flow like the GT500 pumps, good stuff to know.

Good to know, Im wondering since yours is 139E there cant be more then half that no. Extremes, that they didnt put the dual fuel pumps in? Was it a dual fuel pump system in there or was it just one fuel pump Like Walbro 255?

Good to know anyway... Scott

Oren: Welcome fellow E car owner. Congrats on the dyno numbers...good stuff. I will be doing some mods this summer, much like you have...LT headers, catted H pipe, upgraded heat exchanger, S/C bypass upgrade, upgrade the tensioner, larger t/b, ported intake, and a retune. Hoping to hit 550 rwhp or better. Where do you live. I'm in Anaheim Hills and typically I take the beast out every weekend to a car gathering or something like Cars and Coffee in Irvine or a great little gathering of some cool cars at Dana Point. send me a pm. Also are you going to the Fabulous Fords weekend?

Rick

Hey Rick! Nice beast! Yeah the numbers i made are on a Clayton dyno which is much like a mustang dyno, great for tuning but more of a heart breaker for HP numbers, on a dynojet the car would make 5-7% better numbers putting me right around 520whp, so with the T/B, ported SC mouth, tensioner, tune, on top of the mods i have you would be well into the 550whp range and easily 600whp on a race tune with 100oct! These cars are awesome! As far as the meets go my car has been in and out of the shop so much that i havent been able to enjoy it until it was finished today, so i am going to get out more to the meets but i live a bit far from Irvine over in the San Fernando Valley, but i usually hit up the snake on sundays or the local meets on wednesday, i am gonna try to make it out to the fab fords event though!

Yeah. I'm familiar with the Clayton dyno and the variance to the dynojet #'s. Would love to meet and see you at the Fab ford weekend. I'll be there. The wife and I are supposed to head out to SMS on Saturday before the show, then the show on Sunday. Would be great to add another E to the festivities. I'll be happy with the 550 number, as I have had 600 rwhp vehicles previously. It's tough enough to put down the power at 550 let alone 600+.

Good to know!

When compared to the first generation E's, 153 units for one year is a large run.

When compared to the overall 2006 Saleen Mustang production number, 153 units for series may not be allot.

Yeah that's true! I love that there are only 153 of my car made in 2006, just makes it a special rare car, and i cant imagine the value of one in pristine condition 20 years from now...

Got the AFCO dual pass installed, and the thing works!! Thanks Nightstalker for all the info! Its crazy when the car is sitting still and the H/E fans turn on, if you put your hand in the front opening where the H/E sits it feels like a wind tunnel! Those fans move a good amount of air!

So its kind of like running a smaller supercharger pulley? When should one buy an overdrive pulley? I think it would put me over the edge on the stock bottom end since im running a 3.2

06281 that looks great. Im installing my Afco heat exchanger and Spec 2+ clutch in a week, cant wait.

On the overdrive crank pulley you do not want to do this with a 3.20 S/C pulley with stock block. Will push the rods, pistons, etc to far. With my Mosaleen plate idler system, GT 500 pumps, Extreme CAI, 495 rwhp 465 rwtq on a dyno jet, on a mustang dyno it would be 460 whp ?? on tq.

I made 11 lbs boost with stock belt path, gained to 12 1/4 lbs boost with Mosaleen system and going to K061066 belt (from K061073) stock belt path.

06 SC Saleen, I sale it at the above web site. Im doing a end of the year sale, $20 off for club members, so $287 - $20 = $267 and that includes shipping in US. My email is svanhoose57@hotmail.com send me your year Saleen, S/C pulley size, ill send you a paypal invoice for the total including the discount. You pay through paypal the invoice total.
As long as your pulleys are stock you will get belt size Gates Green strip Micro V belt K061066 with the 3.20 S/C pulley. Go to Oriellys and have them price match the Goodyear Gator back belt (its cheaper and they will match there price) saving you like $20. If you have the stock ford tensioner you will have to cut off 1/2 the bump stop to help get the belt on or get the Roush P 51 , or UPR aftermarket tensioner. Make sure you get it without a pulley since my system replaces the pulley anyway with a CNC alum. idler pulley.
Scott

Fresh out of the body shop and going into the shop for tuning Thursday! I am hoping to get around the numbers everyone else is making with similar mods! That 470whp on a dynojet just won't do!!

I went to my parents house for dinner and my dad backed out of the garage with his Benz into my bumper and fender, it was swiped so nothing had to be replaced, just some straightening and paint luckily!

Yeah it could have been so much worse! Just a scuff across the bumper and about an inch into the fender luckily!

The body shop i go to does a lot of work for dealerships and high end cars so they mix their own paints, it makes it easier to match up colors when they can make the paint themselves, you cannot tell there was any work done on the car now. I just need to call up Saleen MI and have them send me out a new 139 silver sticker for the bumper.

did you see the font thread? i posted what font it was...(Compacta Blk BT) available for free. Go to a local graphics shop and have one cut. All they do is apply a stroke to the letters and print the stroke on standard silver/metalic (same color that's on our cars).

Nice! Thanks! What about the size though? How do they know what size to make the numbers so they are identical to the Saleen numbers?
