2005 Saleen Production Numbers - Just In!
Keep an eye on this thread for the 2005 Saleen Production Numbers.
They are still being compiled, but we've been getting a lot of e-mail inquiries about them so please be patient, as we'll have them as soon as they're ready. We only have general numbers at this point, including that there were about 1,500 Mustangs built. Beyond that, please stay tuned (and be patient), as we don't expect to have numbers until early February. Thank you!

Something does not make sense to me, as I was looking through the site I notice someone saying that they have a black vert #2008. The #s don't add up. The user name I believe is shelbycat. Are you sure about the #s or was this person not sold a real Saleen?

I'm sure about the numbers... they came from Team Saleen, and Saleen sure didn't build 2000 cars.
What you're assuming is that the numbers are sequential and on one production line, but they built a lot of 2005s in Troy and it's possible that they ran in a different bank of numbers. Hopefully someone else knows.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I know that they don't make the # 06 on the cars. Not 100% sure on the real reason for that and I also know in the beginning that they skipped #s to make it look like they made more cars then they actually did. I thought they stopped doing that but I guess I'm wrong. Hey it's not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last. Again thank you for the info.

I just talk to Liz and she told me that I have 1 of the 22 mineral grey SC built for that year. Not sure if that is just coupes or coupes and converts combine. She also told me that the Numbering for the cars only go up to 1414 and the person who claims to have # 2008 to please call her.

My car #
Sorry guys I never noticed how bad I screwed up my car #.
It is 1206 a black vert. I picked it up from Galpin Ford in July on the 3rd. I have 2000 miles on it and 3000 hours looking at it. cheers Ed |

Hi I am here in the Philippines and I am about to purchase a 2005 S281 in screaming yellow. Do you know how many of these were built?
