Q: 2006 production numbers? - New owner 06-0438

I just recieved my new 2006 Supercharged saleen and i was wondering where i could find the # of supercharged saleens they are going to make this year...i have looked around but i can't find any numbers about it...anyone have any ideas?

Welcome, and congratulations on your new ride!

You won't find any definite planned production number... they'll make as many as they can sell.

If it helps you, they built 309 Supercharged S281s in 2005 -- out of 1345 total (including 3 Es).

So... who knows... maybe 400 this year? Time will tell.

Where did you hear they made 3 E cars in 05? They just released the pricing this week..

I think you're thinking pricing for 2006 model Es -- those are 2005s.

strange.. they didn't have the E available in 05.

The word today from Team Saleen is that the three E cars built in 2005 are certification and R&D cars -- and are not for sale.

It's easy to get confused, especially when I'm sitting here looking at a 2005 E Specification Sheet.
