Default What did you do to your Saleen today?

I saw this in another forum. Seemed to be pretty popular. Allowed members to see parts and products that we maybe didn't know about, etc. So I'll start it off with what I ordered from 281MotorSports today for the Saleen.
Driveshaft
Duel fan Heat Exchanger
S/C VI.5 Decklid
Airaid CAI
3.5 pulley
Posi gears
39# injectors
Fuel pump
Spark Plugs
Radiator
SCT tuner
LCA's
I wish I could say I'm done, but we all know how that goes! Already installed BMR k-member
ARH longtubes with catless x-pipe
S/C dipstick
Vossen CV3's
Whatcha got??
Some of the guys are using Dr. Color. They seem to be really happy with the results. Ordering some for both Stangs.

Hey Barrie; you put either set of rails on yet? OneQwick; engine looks great; wish my integrated strut tower brace had Saleen on it..I was impatient and got mine before it was offered through Saleen...wish I had done that on the Fore Fuel rails! Have them just need to get them engraved now! Then I can post Fuel Rails; SC dipstick; Coil Cap Decals!!!

I was gonna drop them on the extreme when I swap out the injectors (got 60's).
Cant do that without a tune and I have 4 other things to put on before the tune.

Sooo not yet.

Just wondering why you didn't go with the JLT series 3 intake made for the Saleen blower?

Jason didn't mention it. I'll check into it. I told him exactly what I wanted from the car, and this was a one stop shop, to get everything for the car I could get, and install at one time. He went with the Airaid. I don't know enough of the pro's and con's of the different styles. Is the JLT better for some reason?

Airaid is a good product, I had one on my F250 and loved it. I think JLT is the best bang for your buck intake. Its a 110mm intake and is only $259.00. From what I have read (s197forum) some say its not the greatest quality product? Not trying to knock JLT because I almost bought one, but I bought a new TechCo (discontinued) intake from Jason instead.

The Airaid is smaller and costs more money.. Jason is the man! But sometimes new products come out and not everyone knows about them right away.. The JLT series 3 is new but it is the largest and highest flowing intake for our cars to date with a 4.25" tube and built in 110mm MAF housing..

Just called Kim. Waiting on an email from Jason. Kim said she hasn't sold any JLT's, so maybe he said Airaid since they don't carry them? Is it really that big of a difference to worry about canceling one to order the other?

06Saleen1287- Looking good brother. Ditto on the compliments!

Just talk to Jason about it, maybe there is a reason he doesnt sell the JLT.. Different companies distribute different products is all.. I just dont get why pay more money for a product that does less than the other.. If they were both the same price then i would say if you are not pushing 600whp then really who cares..

We wont knock other products we dont believe in or like, we just wont sell them. Alot comes into play in the products we select to offer our customers. If you have dealt with us you know how critical we are about the things and way we do business. You have no idea how critical I am when it comes to bringing on a product on that will have to pass several test before we offer it.

We sell parts based on quality, fit, finish and performance....price and cost arent considerations. That is why our selection of parts is limited, not because we dont know about them or want to sell them. We leave that to the Wal Marts of our industry.

It might sound crazy but I just got done returning my car to stock. I took off the GT500 TB, spacer, and C&L CAI and MAF and put on all stock components and even returned to the stock tune although I will get it tuned for stock components.

Title of thread is What did you do to your Saleen today? Not what do you plan on doing one day...Just go for a drive and come back and type went for a drive in one of my many Saleens, took a bottle of windshield washer fluid to clean the dust off the windshield.

Na, it's just getting cold out and the car seems to run a lot better in the cold weather without mods. It's worth it to me considering it only took about 45 minutes of work and a loss of some throttle response.

I want to play too! We've been working on a ton of Saleens, booked out 6 weeks...and still trying to get our Saleen done in time for SEMA...exciting times.

This is what part of the team was doing to my Saleen today... tomorrow....finish dimple dies and prep front tubular core suppor cage for powdercoat. Just so you guys know, the blue tape is only there for final fittment prior to tig welding. It makes mach up much easier with dealing with SOOO many bends. Once section of that tubing is 7 pieces!! I didnt even know this until wednesday, but Airaid has the ability to custom manufacture an air filter to your specs. They built ours in 1 day to our exact specifications. I dont think do this for retail applications, but they did for our SEMA car. Talk about a huge filter!

Not today, but did a Spec aluminum fw, Mcleod rst clutch, and aluminum ds last week. The job sucked. Wait, wait, did I mention it sucked? Never again on jack stands! LOL. But what a difference. The car isnt the same car. Guess that Centerforce junk was slipping more than I knew. Feels like I bolted a 100hp on the car! Sucks that I had to come back to Afghanistan before the 500 mile break in was complete :(

Dang Jason...soooo pretty. Wish I was closer. I would let you do some work for me.

Sorry I didnt have a chance to call you while I was home. We will tackle that bypass valve next time Im home. I didnt even get a chance to mount that Meziere bracket you sent me. That clutch job was a monster doing alone on jack stands.

Here is some pictures of most of what we got done yesterday... We finished the zeus fasteners for the fascia as well. I need to make decals for our Saleen front brakes as we took them off for powdercoat.
