Sweet INFO !!! Best yet for the 06' year !! Now if we can find out the breakdown via SC vs. N/A and SC Vert vs. N/A Vert ?????

Here are the production numbers for 06' that I got from Saleen - I was able to get the Counts in my Color Code and how many SC models were made that year.

* As per Saleen -

* Saleen produced 417 Super Charged S281 in 2006 (w/ only 7 being legend lime vehicles)

He is the breakout for the Legend Lime Vehicles

Convert SC 5
Coupes SC 7

Convert NA 3
Coupes NA 16

This color became very popular after the announcement of Fords decision to stop producing this color. We had people from all across the US looking for these units. As you can see, not too many were produced.

---> - Now I just need to know how many SC Verts were made and how many N/A Verts were made ???

I see that you have the 550HP upgrade. Seriously, your car must be SICK! I was thinking about doing the upgrade to 475HP, but honestly, I can't complain about the 435 horses. Does it affect the drive-ability much?

I can't really go by anything - Since I am the second owner - this install was done prior to my purchase. It Has the Stage 4 upgrade as well as the original 475hp upgrade - it pushes out 12 pounds boost. So my only comparison would be my old 97 Cobra vert which had about 350hp and with that it is NIGHT and DAY. I could peel rubber in every gear if I tired to.

Just throwing out a quick question, I have a white 2006 S281 SC, the number is 05c. I live in Windsor, Ontario and I'm about a 45 minute drive to the Saleen facility in Michigan. I was told for 2006 there were only 15 S281SC sent to Canada and were all registered with the letter 'c' beside the number to denot Canada.

My question is, does this mean there is another #5 out there in the US or am I part of the same numbering scheme.

Thanks
Ed

Saleen Canada was it's own entity with their own production numbers. Yep, you could very well have a U.S. sibling #05 if Saleen Inc used this production number in 2006.

Is the info available for the 2007 extremes? How many black extreme coupes were built?

Some type of info should be available, but we will not stand behind any reported published counts. Recording Saleen production became progressively worse after the 2005 model year.

My understanding is they have all of the records out of boxes and up on shelves. Give them a call they should be able to help.

This is a very interesting thread! I can't wait to see the final numbers! I have 06-0911. Do I need to call Saleen and let them know that I bought it or something?

This is interesting:

http://canada.motoseller.com/c/sys.php?a=15&b=70859

This car for sale is 04c, Emaes' car is 05c and mine is 07c. Would there be a 06c or does the same "no #6 car" apply in the Canadian version.

This guy states:

Beautifull, like new 10000miles only, very high perfomance Saleeen Mustang - one of fifteen made for Canada in 06 and has a sticker 04c on front bumber from the factory to number the car.

Its a shame Saleen went under in Canada, lots of info that is probably gonna be hard to get now, like production numbers. Hopefully his number is right, mine being a S281 SC convertible must be one of a few.

Production numbers were reported to corporate in the United States -- they should have all of that information in Michigan.

The Patriot Edition and the American Flag are one-in-the-same.

In concept, both the Red Flag and the American Flag share the same build content. Difference being the AF came in red, white, or blue, featured the over-the-top rally stripe, and used white stitching (opposed to red) on the seat covers.

The build for the AF was more limited than the RF. The announced build total was 24 vehicles, 8 red, 8 white, and 8 blue. All based on the coupe body style.

Somewhat similar pricing to the RF, since this was another "base" S281 S/C car with equippment omitted.

One unique aspect of the 2008 AF Edition was the certificate of authenticity signed by then ASC/Saleen executives Paul Wilbur and Marquis McCammon. (As a side: Both personalities are, and continue to be, tools.)

Dave, I have a few questions on numbers. The RF's were supposed to be production of 100, however I have heard there was a possibility of 300. Does anyone know the actual build numbers? My number is 053, does that fall early or late? My dash plaque says 053/500, but I take that to be 53 out 500 S/C's, because as I understand it they were grouped with S/C's for production numbers. Do we know the break down of S/C's for 08? I know the A/F's were 24 in total, but were they grouped like the R/F's for production with the S/C's also? Also would anyone know the breakdown of colors with the R/F's if they only built 100? In other words, did they build 50 Alloy and 50 Black evenly?

I have not heard of the 300 unit production count.

MJA/SPV should hold a production count report. Though, I believe the 2006-2009 vehicle production notes could be debated.

What is the manufacture date your serial tag? The RF debuted in late summer 2007.

Correct.

I believe a rough number was published some place, but I would contact MJA/SPV. The production hopes of 2008 were not realized.

Unofficial*:

ASC/Saleen produced eleven 2009 S281 Mustangs.

Of the eleven, two were S281 Sport Edition coupes (similar to the 2008 Red Flag).

Of the remaining nine S281 Supercharged, three were convertibles.

One 2009 S302 S/C was produced. In coupe form.

That'll be a rare find.

09-10 S281 S/C was on Ebay recently. Looked like it didnt include many factory options like HIDs. Was this the one that hit a guardrail?

Yes, 09-0010 went into a guardrail. This car originally had Saleen HID lights.
