Nice ride! Loved to see a picture of the engine! Cobra seats look sweet. Must be a bit more comfortable than the original Ford Stockers.

Thank you! I had a friend tell me to change out to chromes, but I prefer the look of the silver on black. Some colors just need a nice, silver wheel, in my opinion.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Nothing really wild about the business end, just a CAI under the hood for the most part. Here is a pic though. I painted the intake plenum Grabber Blue. This pic was taken when I was flushing and changing the coolant last Spring.

Not quite the motor work that I had done to my other Saleen.

Here are another few pics.

Did you add the hood scoop? If so, did you use double sided tape or did you drill through hood to mount it? Where did you get the scoop at? Thanks

I did. It is just a 2002-2004 GT scoop. It is mounted with 2 sided tape on the rear corners for a flush fit, but the scoop is mainly bolted to the hood with 7 or 8 holes drilled into the hood. The scoop was one that I bought off a friend several years ago... in case anyone has a 1999-2001 and wanted to know, yes a 2002-2004 GT hood scoop will bolt right on (after drilling the holes for the studs).

How did you mark the holes to drill? Did you have template of some sort? I really wanna add one to my car, more aggressive look IMO.

I'm looking at doing a set of Black Chrome on my '99 when I get the funds built up. Chrome is a little too flashy for me on black, but the silver painted wheel just doesn't do it either. Nice ride by the way!

I like the silver wheels. You could buy chromes and switch it up.sometimes!;-) Thats what I did with my white wheels. I love the white and chrome. I think you would be tore between the two if you saw them on your car! I love the seat upgrade too! Goes very well. I also added a scoop to mine. All in all a very clean tasteful vert!

I do have a template now that I made out of masking paper, but I just placed the scoop to the hood and marked the locations with a white paint pen on this one. Just note that the hoods are actually not the same on 1999-2001 as they are for the 2002-2004. The 1999-2001 hood does not have the pocket molded into the underside for the rear center stud. This makes mounting a scoop on the 1999-2001 hood awkward on this one stud, but nothing that can't be easily overcome.

Thank you! I agree, the silvers for me really work on the car... IMO.

Thank you very much. Yup, I have a set of chrome Saleens but were a little too flashy for me. I actually was torn, both look very good, but the silver was more my subtle taste. I put two chromes on one side and two silvers on the other, then went back and forth to decide which I would keep.

UPDATE: The 2000 is about to go into paint. It was caught in the storms last spring, and State Farm drug their feet on the claim. I decided to finish the car myself and just bill them for the other half of the claim that they owe me. While it is being painted, there will be a few additions too. I will post pics as progress continues.
