Default "SLOLEEN" Twin Turbo 4v Build

Wells guys I have finally decided to retire my built 2v turbo setup and go with a built 4v and a set of twins. The car made the best of 837rwhp with a MMR1000 Shortblock, Trickflow heads, stage 3 blower/nitrous cams, hellion single turbo kit, and a Precision 7675 Billet wheel ball bearing turbo. Here are a few pics of the car for those of you who aren't familiar with it.

Here is a pic of the donor car that the 4v motor and hpp twin turbo kit came out of. I picked up the car from Manny over at HPP Racing. The car is a '99 Cobra and had tons of work done to it a few years back. The owner disappeared which resulted in HPP putting a mechanics lean on the vehicle and me purchasing it. Car had the built 4v in it, t56 swap, built rear, fuel system, fast computer system, hpp twin kit, roll cage, Saleen body kit, etc.. Only reason I purchased the car was to pull the motor and turbo kit out to put in the SLOLEEN. Lol.

I had the guys over at HPP pull the motor out and go through it to make sure everything was still in good shape.
Here are a few details on the motor:
•Shortblock
-Teksid Block
-JE Pistons
-Oliver Billet
-Kellogg Forged Crank
-All ARP Hardware
-Romac Crank Pulley
-Canton Oil Pan
-Meziere Electric Water Pump

•Heads/Cams
-Port/Polished Navigotor Heads
-Custom Grind Turbo Cams
-Upgraded Valve Springs/Retainers

What the longblock looked like when it was pulled out of the car.

Shortblock itself after heads/cams were pulled off.

Heads being torqued down.

Ports on the navigator heads.

Some of the turbo kit. Turbos are twin Garrett GT35R Turbos.

Never really been a fan of the chrome look so I decided I would get these pieces powdercoated wrinkle black.

Picked up the parts earlier today from powdercoating.

Should be some sick results. Good luck with the build.

Went ahead and put the timing cover and valve covers on and placed the intake in place.

How are you getting the navigator heads to work with the intake? I though these heads on a 4.6L was only possible with a custom intake. Looks like another killer build - something putting out power to match your S351.

I have a turbo and my two cents ... now that you have the engine off, I would highly recommend installing heat shielding around anything that will be close to the turbo and turbo down-pipe , just my two cents..., I yet to get to it but some of my rubber lines around the turbo pipes have started to dry up crack from the heat radiated from the hot pipes...

You will love the blow off valve it sounds awesome during shifts

Thanks. And honestly I have no idea how how the heads were made to work on the block. I bought the car and the motor was already assembled. I can ask the guys over at Hpp how they got it to work and get back to you on that if you'd like.

Picked up a McLeod Twin Disk from a buddy of mine. I decided to hold off on going with the th400 swap for now till I can clear up some more money so the 6 speed will stay in the car for now.

Nice build. I do like the idea of getting more air to the intercooler but any concerns with the bumper support be compromised?

Thanks

Just a side note: You know you can use your original wiring harness and computer to run on your 4V swap? All you have to do is lengthen and shorten the lead as needed. The original PCM can be used also, this way you won't run into a PAT issue.

I used all original wiring and PCM for my conversion.

I also had to use the injector convertor connectors from FFRP to match up harness though.

Here are a few updates.

Took the car to my buddy Aldo over at Aldowelds to have him fabricate new custom 3 1/2" downpipes. Both downpipes were made to exit out on each side of the bumper.

Pictures of downpipes exiting out each side of the bumper.

I loaded up the car yesterday morning and headed out to HPP out in lewisville to have them finish a few small things that I wasn't able to finish myself and also have them do the install on the FAST computer system.
