Default New SALEEN SPEEDLAB Cold Air Induction

I just got the latest SPEEDLAB upgrade. It looks great! The CAI induction is comes with everything from the Throttle body forward. It even includes the MAF meter that is specifically calibrated for either your Supercharged Saleen or the 3V naturally aspirated setup.

I looks great... hoping to show it to you guys at the next event.

more pics...

Smile Speedlab CAI

I am not sure about the exact MAF size, the kit goes for $499

Not bad when you look at most kits that out there. It's the inlet tube, SALEEN MAF (Which requires some splicing) and the Shroud and filter.

The MAF is specifically calibrated for either the Supercharged or the 3V set up.

I just bought one from JDM Engineering for $445.00. The MAF that comes with it is a 95mm. You do need to retune your computer.

Default What does the JDM CAI look like??

Can you get a picture online of the JDM setup??

I really would like to see it.

Did JDM do your tune??? If so did you have to
get it reflashed to stock and then throw an after
market tune on it???

Did your speedmeter get effected when you went
stock? I have wondered if the 200 mph speedometer
is effected by the tune or if it is independent from the
saleen powerflash!

The JDM setup looks exactly like yours. It is the S-302 Extreme CAI kit. They get them directly from Saleen. JDM does the retune. They get your computer number off your computer in the car. I also purchased a SCT tuner from them and JDM will send me the new program already on it. All you have to do is hook it up to your computer in your car and download it. JDM does a lot of Saleens tunes for them so they know the Saleens inside and out. Check out there website www.teamjdm.com. They are a great bunch of guys and will work with you on getting the best power combo for your car. I should be getting my parts this week and as soon as I do I will post a pic, but like I said the CAI kit looks exactly like yours. I have been working with Jim Jr at JDM and am buying all my parts from them. With the combo we came up with I should be over 650 HP when I get done.

I like that setup. Does that give you more hp? My car is not supercharged either.

Default HP Gains??

I am not sure of the Horsepower gains.. May be 10.

I'll dyno it once I get the setup in and post the numbers.

If you're going to get the kit call saleen and ask for

Jared or Carlos... they'll give you the latest info.

Default Speedlab CAI

At first I really liked what I saw in the picture of the installation... but then after looking closer. WTF is going on, Saleen set the front part of the breather box directly right on top of the wiring harness that is along the drivers side of the fender and splash pan...and what is up with the cable tie up there also. It just looks sloppy. I know JDM and probablly a few others have a molded breather hose and cone filter that looks alot cleaner than the Speedlab does

Default Speedlab CAI

There are other great looking CAI... like the C&L, which is quality and history. But being that I have a Saleen, I'd like to keep it Saleen if it made by them. Don't want to mix and match. Don't want to throw Steeda, or Roush products on it. (as I have seen other Saleen owners do)
So thanks for your opinion.

But I'll stick with the Speedlab products.

I have had great results just with Saleen Extreme tube of old. Here are some pics of the new setup available. Pics are from a Sterling at JDM's shop.
