Default S331 Intercooler

I am looking for an intercooler that someone might have taken off for an upgrade intercooler for my S331? Or if someone knows where to get a larger intercooler for the S331. I was planning to hook-up a 2nd intercooler in series with my original intercooler. My ACT temps are running on the high side for my liking. Any help would be appreciated.

how high is in the high side?

I am in GA and at 99 degrees outside, i never get above 125. Also, I dont think the gauge is accurate.

First off, try draining all of your IC fluid and replace it with distilled water and a BOTTLE of water wetter....that will help.

Also, I am an advocate for a killer chiller. For $600, you will have ACT temps no hotter than ambient temp

Just driving around in town without getting into boost, the temps get up to 180 degrees and the outside temps were 85 to 90 degrees. Pulling my enclosed aluminum car trailer, the intercooler temps will get as high as 220 degrees in town and about 180 on the highway.

Without a doubt, there is another issue if you are that hot. Is your IC pump even working?

I have been in full boost with the troyer kit for over a min and I barely made it to 175

Unfortunately upgraded intercoolers aren't out for these trucks yet (or at least it was that way 6 months ago.) I had a shop in Houston modify a Fluidyne for me that had worked out really well. Truck hardly ever registers over 110-115 and that is in ~100+ degree weather. I think Light02 also has some info on the Killer Chiller system's ability to mount up to our trucks.

Sorry guys, I was reading my gauge wrong. The temps get up to 138 degrees in town and have got up to 175 to 180 in town pulling my trailer. But at any rate, these temps are to high. Hey wcdean, where did you purchase the fluidyne cooler to have modified? I like the looks of that and the temp numbers even better.

I had FastLane in Houston set it up for me. Talk to either Nick or Anthony and they should know all about it. They are pretty familiar with my truck and do nice work. I was driving back from Houston today and at 108 degrees my ACT gauge showed ~110.

Did you look into the Killer Chiller system? Supposedly that will lower your charge temp by like 40 or 50 degrees (I think that is what I remember hearing anyway)...

Hey wcdean, do you still have your original intercooler? If you do, I would be interested in getting it if you want to get rid of it. I checked-out the Killer Chiller system, but not to hep on the idea of the air conditioner running all the time. If you don't want to break loose of your original intercooler, I am going to have Fastlane build one for me like your set-up.
