Here is a link to my New 87, Very interesting story with this one. I have Verified with saleen the last 8 of the Vin, It has every Vin sticker with the Ford vin #'s on every panel.

Original owner requested it be Built on a GT, Saleen agreed but would not put the build plates on the car, Once I recieve the title, Saleen told me they would send me the Data Plates. But I will not be putting them on the car as it neve had them

Original owner replaced Front seats as the original Drivers seat Broke, Please look at all the picturs, espically the Buck tag and the Vin sticker on the Front cover. This car is the only Saleen to leave the facility with a Full GT body kit.

87-282 1 0f 1 saleen GT,

Default 87-0251

Well for 2011 I started by selling 87-0232, a grey/grey leather 1987 convertible, it had been in my family since 1993 and only had 39,000 miles. I just in the last month was turned on to a guy up in WA selling another, 87-0251, a red/grey interior hatch with 200,000+ miles. What a great running original car, that was driven daily by his wife until 2005-2006, and parked. I bought it at the end of last month, after I put oil, water, fuel, battery, checked the tires, and took off on a 500 mile drive home. The car made it all the way with out a single hiccup. It did drink 2 quarts of oil at the start, 2 more half way, and then none on the last half, it must have had a stuck ring. For now I am just going to use it as a driver, and someday I will restore. I finally got my red Saleen.

Default I have a 87.

It's number 222. It's a black ragtop with grey leather. It's still alive, but I need to repair the steering column from a theft. No pictures until I fix the damage.

Default I just talked to a friend of yours

I just called Irl Collins and asked him if he would be at the Mid America Shelby event on Sunday in Tulsa. He is currently spending his money at the Cherokee Casino on the Arkansas/Ok border. LOL. He told me to tell you HI.

Irl found my #222 in California. It was owned by a doctor. I also owned another convertible, 1988, I think it was #311. It was an automatic. The son of a gun was fast. The kid I sold it to totaled it two weeks after I sold it to him.I would have never sold it, except for my daughters college tution to Tulsa University.

I told Irl to get onto this site. We'll see.

Default 87 vert

My 222 was stolen twice. Once in some LA riot and the last time by a thief in my neighborhood. I saw the theft and tried to chase him down with my 94 ford pickup with a trailor full of carpet. LOL

I called his mother (threatening her) and the car was left at a major intersection in Tulsa.

My car looks just like yours, except for some scratches on the paint.

I have a question? Should I repaint or will that hurt the value? The paints not bad, but i can't get rid of the scratches the theif put on them from going through the brush to get away from me. I also need a new SALEEN MUSTANG windshield decal. Any links?

Thanks

Irl is a great guy and long time friend. Tell him he is getting his wish that we discussed earlier this year.
