Default Q: Aftermarket Shifter Options? - 2001 S281

Hey guys,
I'm considering putting a short throw shifter in my 2001 s281 and was wondering first if my year is a T-45/5. Also is it going to make a difference and which brand would be the best way to go. Thanks!

My 2001 has a 3650.

I have an MGW in my car. Best in my opinion. The handle attaches to a splined shaft and can be rotated 360 degrees to put the handle in the best position for you.

I had a Steeda Tri-Ax in my turbo Contour SVT. That was nice, but for a Mustang MGW is my choice.

MGW is the best in my opinion, I have had them on my T45 and my T56. Smooth and doesn't have the notch feeling like others. Just depends on what type of feel you like.

Check the code on the door sticker to see what should be in your car. 2001 is the model year they did a change over from the T45 to the 3650.

You can't go wrong with MGW and it's worth the money.

They are correct, I would go with MGW. When i bought my car it had a Steeda Tri Ax in it. Its pretty much clunky and makes alot of noise. Its not as smooth as the MGWs.
