Default Q: Rear bumper inserts?

Has anyone put the rear bumper stickers on the molded in "Saleen"? If so did they come wider than the molded in part but fit OK once you put them on?
I bought a set but they seem too wide, wondering if they are really OK once you put them on. I also bought the side window wreaths from the same company and they are WAY too big.
Thanks Tom

Yeah a lot of companies make these types of decals. I can't remember where I bought mine but they all might have a little variation in size between who make these. Once you put them in, you can kind of work each letter in to a "best fit." Focus on making sure the letters are level and evenly spaced apart...should come out pretty nice. If they don't, take them off and PM me and I can give you a link to where I believe I got mine. Post pics of your progress if you can that would be cool.

Default Bumper inserts

Yeah just click on the bumper insert lettering fonts link once you get onto the page...then it gives you the options. I actually am thinking of getting the reflective ones. But then again I don't really drive my car at night :( But yes, I believe this is the place I got mine as well. Good Luck.

Thanks I will check it out! So did you letters fit inside the molded in bumper letters?
Mine are so wide I don't see how they will fit inside the molded recess.

I just went and checked out the site. When you look at the letters they have a link for installation instructions. They show the letters fitting inside the molded area perfect, they are showing "Mustang" letters being done.

So did your Saleen letters fit just like this?

Default Bumper inserts

I know on mine the L and the E's seemed a bit long so in retrospect I would have cut the letters almost completely out where I can do a test fit of each letter and trim the L or the E's to my liking. Then fit them and install. Remember that with the Saleen bumpers different molds and "runs" there will be some variation I bet. I am sure if you cut out and test fit you can get them pretty darn close and that is the fun part :) I am pretty particular with details and am completely satisfied with the ones I bought from MW.

Oh and quick tip...don't be afraid to use plenty of solution on bumper and on decal itself...may take longer to set, but gives you some play in terms of getting it in the right position without destroying the decal itself...be safe with more solution. I made a quick solution with a light colored soap and few drops in a spray bottle, or might even try using the window tint solution that they sell at the auto parts store...that should work too but haven't tried it on paint before so maybe this is something that someone might try.

That is the only place that I have found to have them. Good fit and they are easy to put on.

Default saleen pic

Nice...I am sure it looks even better in person...oh and be sure to get as many air bubbles as you can out...but don't fret about the couple or small bubbles, you can always work them out later once its dried with a sewing pin and poke the bubble and press down to release the air...it will be virtually unnoticeable.

Hmm, those outline letters are interesting, I may have to try to make up a set and see how they look on 99-122.

Bringing back an old one!
So I just got a 2000 that I want to get the bumper inserts for. The mustangworld place doesn't seem to sell them anymore. When I got the ones for my 2002 from them they fit perfect!
The place I originally bought them from that didn't fit was TFB designs, they wouldn't take them back either, along with the side wreaths that were way too large. Never dealing with that place again.

So does anyone know where to get them from that fit correctly now?

Thanks!

I would not be surprised if the lettering sizing varied from 1999-04 to 2005-09. Meaning if letters were made for one, might not fit the other.
