Default Buying a 2002 S281....questions!

Hi All,

Just joined the forum as I have a deposit on a very nice 2002 Saleen S281 Coupe and I should be picking it up in a few weeks. That being said I have a few questions that maybe you all can help me with:

1) Is the fuel filter the same as a standard 02 GT? I would like to change it!

2) The owner of the car said that it had a misfire on the #3 cylinder as a result of a bad injector. A new 30lb injector was installed and no more codes or limp mode and he says the car runs perfect but my question is, is a bad injector common or or this a potential underlying issue of something else going on? I am sure injectors can fail or get plugged but I am curious...

3) I has an aftermarket Intake which is fine but I am not liking how the vacuum line to the brake booster is routed. I have attached a pic for reference and I looking for opinions. It seems the CAI vacuum nubs are in the wrong place. Should I route a new heavy duty vacuum line under the Alternator and behind the blower belt and back to the booster like I have seen on some cars? is that routing with the hard line over the motor stock?

Would love to know your thoughts or advice

yes the filter is the same. yes it common for injectors to go bad its a 20 year old car as along as that was the actual issue. you can route the vacuum line how ever you want. the way it is dose not look good for sure
