Experience with I/C pump timer bypass? HELP!!!
I have been going round and round with this pump timer and bypass for awhile now. I replaced the pump timer itself, from saleen, it worked for a day then the pump stopped working. I have since installed the pump timer bypass, from saleen, still nothing. I assumed that since the pump stopped working it may actually have been the pump that finally gave out so I changed it and the replaced the old wires for the new that came with the new Bosch pump.
I`m by no means a mechanic but these directions, and task were very simple. Not sure what to do now. The pump still does not work and I have quadruple checked everything. I understand that Saleen has changed this entire system, is there a replacement system? Anyone have any ideas here? I`m stuck!! thanks |

Water Pump
Talk to Jim from JDM he has a few different options with as far as getting rid of the Timer completely or if you don't mind spending - a mezeire water pump. Worth a shot calling JDM or you can always try the old stand by Jess or Tony from Saleen they both know their stuff and maybe can help you diagnose the problem.

I/C Pump
It does sound like you might have a power problem. Call Jess or Tony on Monday I'm sure they will be able to run you through a diagnostic procedure. They know these cars in and out and are always very customer service friendly. Have Faith! It will get fixed!

I think I may have found the potential problem. I tested the green/white wire that supplies power to pump/timer and there is no power showing on my multi meter. The new question is, Does anyone know where I can access or reroute power to the pump? The green/white wire goes under the fuse box into the fender well between the fender liner to who knows where???
yea, still stuck |

There is a inline fuse for the heat exchanger water pump. I have seen these blow when the pump timer has problems. The in line fuse looks like the regular fuses for the Mustang, I think it is a yellow 20 amp.
Call Jim III at JDM , If I remember right its under the hood on the passanger side just infront of the fuse box ,down in the wires. Scott

If its under warrenty ok, but JDM sales a neat piece that bypasses the saleen one and you can also flip a swith while the car is off to run the heat exchanger water pump to cool down while waiting between runs at 1/4 mile.
