Default SuperShaker on SC hood? - Install

I know it's been mentioned in other threads, and there's one picture on brad barnett's forums of this, but is there anyone who has done it? Can the SuperShaker be installed on the SC hood with the vents? Anyone have any pictures of the underside of the hood on a car that has been done? I know there are a few other members also interested in this.

You can count me in the other members interested in this. I know the dark horse has it but not sure how it was done.

Yes it can be done, it requires no extra parts or fitment. It was put into production this way on the Darkhorse.

So, the Dark Horse had the SuperShaker installed exactly as it would be intstalled on the regular GT hood? The SC hood has a raise to it, where the GT does not. Wouldn't that affect the way the Shaker sits proportionate to the hood? I would have thought the Shaker would need to be slightly raised to accomodate the hood's raise. Also, was the Dark Horse using a modified SC hood that had been cut, or did it use a hood made especially for the Shaker, with a hole cut in production? Basically, what I am getting at, is if I hack up my hood, will the underside look like this?

And, will the Shaker sit at the right height?

They didnt do anything extra, here is a very crudely cut SC hood (the very first R&D SC hood on Supershaker we cut) you can see it sits fine. nothing else was changed

Yeah. I almost have to. I live in West Virginia, and I don't have many options on shops. I know of one machine shop within 100 miles, and no custom fab shops. To further put it in perspective, there's not a shop where I can get a good dyno tune within 200 miles. PAS in Richmond, Virginia is the closest place I know of, and that's 5 hours and 275 miles away.

Dang. Is that where you plan on getting it dynoed? I plan on doing it myself but most likely will go forged this winter before the supershaker. Let us know how the install goes.

Yes, once the weather breaks, I plan on making the trip to PAS and having it tuned and ready for spring/summer. I watched a SuperShaker be installed in Carlisle, PA at the All Ford Nationals, and after seeing it done, I am confident I can do it myself.

I would like to go forged myself, but it will probably be a while before I get the nerve to rip the engine apart. It has taken the better part of 2 years for me to convince myself to do a few bolt ons. lol

I've got the opposite dilemma, shaker installed but no SC hood. Sure hope there will be more discounted hoods available from our favorite liquidator when I can afford one. Glad to hear you guys are planning to go "extreme spec" w/ forged internals soon. I keep peeking in on mine who are sitting patiently in the garage
Maybe the forged thread will be revived...I am still very confused about my options (current block build or start from scratch?) I will post there as to not confuse
