Default Series II Advice / End of the road

After all the years and lots of modifications later just wanted to give a piece of advice to anyone starting off these days and modding their saleens:

  • Do the suspension upgrades first before the power.
  • Biggest bang for the buck that i've found are the subframe connectors (you'll notice immediately!), the aluminum driveshaft combined with 3.73 gears, and the maximum motorsports coilovers.
  • If you're looking to get anywhere near 400rwhp it's cheaper to swap out the roots supercharger for a KB. On the other hand though you'd miss that sweet sweet roots supercharger whine and replace it with a whistle sound.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone! I hope i've been a decent resource around here for mods over the years. I listed the saleen in the for sale section. Time to move on!
Feel free to PM me anytime if you need advice and i'm sure i'll keep lurking around here every so often.

Best wishes man good luck with the sale. I jumped on here a couple years back when I got my 04 and read many of your posts.

I’d also add to your first mods rear lower control arms and good tires!!

Completely agree about the good tires but tbh when i installed the rear lower control arms i didn't notice any difference at all.
