Saleen Show & Open House: OCT 16th 2021

I went to the last Open House. The only let down IMO was parking. I showed up in the 06-0869 and was still directed to park off property. I did not feel thrilled having to leave my Saleen parked almost bumper to bumper with bunch of trucks and SUVs that lined nearby streets.

IMO the 06-0869 with 98k miles is anything special and there are much nicer and more interesting units on display but still I hate to just dump it in the street. ASFAIK those bumpers are NLA.

Parking at the Saleen plant is rather limited but at least some concession should be given to the Saleen owners.

Coming down the night before the open house. Any recommendations for hotels with reasonably secure parking?

The club usually has a hotel recommendation and dinner /meet and greet but have not seen anything for this even yet.

I noticed that it was “pushed” back a month as the show is normally in mid September (based on past years) and they gave less than a month’s notice while in 2019 the info was posted since April giving plenty of time to plan.

In looking at the 2019 post (link below) it seems they had recommended the Ayres Suites Corona West. I have never stayed there as I am somewhat local but figured some can use it as a reference to either stay there or somewhere comparable. Below is also the address for Saleen.

If you arrive before we close the gate for show cars, which should be around 10:00 a.m. (I know some of the info says 11:00, which is wrong), approach the gate and I'll let you in. I just talked with Steve and we'll let owners who don't want to show their car park diagonally inside the gate.

Jim, thank you for accommodating my request. Unfortunately I will have to miss the open house. I am heading to San Diego to pick up a track bike bought unexpectedly. Will take you up on the kind offer for the next open house
