Production Numbers

First time poster so "hello" to all. I would like to get an 87-93 Saleen Mustang at some point, but am trying to educate myself first. I had a 1990 Mustang GT in college and still miss that car.

Question: How do you determine the production numbers for various colors of each model year Saleen? I purchased "The Saleen Book" and only see total numbers produced - no break down for colors. Several For Sale ads will state their car is one of only "x" in that particular color. Where can I find that information?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi there and welcome!

Team Saleen is one source for color breakdown info and the other is the out-of-print book The History and Development of the Saleen Mustang by Patty Redeker.

Patty had listed the color production for the 1985-1992 Saleen Mustangs. Some of the info is out-of-date, but its a great read and was the only Saleen History Book for years.

Keep in mind this book can tend to get expensive on eBay. I received mine during middle-school for the $12.00-$15.00 retail price. It was one of the few things I read willingly back then.
