Default Max power

Any one know what our car's (420 s) max horsepower (safe) are able to put at wheel's, some tuner's are telling me 480-490 another is saying 530-550 on stock long block.

There is no set max rwhp number, an engine could grenade at the stock HP. However most will stay at or under 500 rwhp while others will run above 500 rwhp. You will hear more guys grenading their engines above 500 rwhp then under 500 rwhp. A good tune and proper fuel is the key.

I wouldn't push past 480 to be safe, but like has been stated in the earlier post. You just never know.

I have an 09 420S. Its a convertible and it has the 475hp upgrade. It has a 3.4 pulley and I had it dynoed and retuned on Friday last week. It made 466rwhp and 454 lbs of torque. I am going to be upgrading to the gt500 dual fuel pumps in the next 2 weeks.

Dyno- video: It is 2009 not a 2008. We had my wife's car there too which is an 08. He must have added in the wrong year.
