Exclamation Q: Difference between 1990-93 & 1994-98 chevrons?

I'm wanting to put the side stripes on my 88 Saleen. I bought 94-98 stripes many many years ago when then the 90-93 were discontinued. They have since been reissued.

So I have a new set of 94-98 stripes. What's the difference? Can anyone tell me EXACTLY what the difference is? Can some it here who has 90-93 side stripes measure the length along the edge & somebody with 94-98 stripes mean sure the length so we can see of theirs an actual difference in width or length?

I have mocked them up on the side of my car & that appear that they would work perfectly....but without knowing dimensions the could be wider, narrower, etc. I find it strange Saleen would have 2 different part #'s for them of they are indeed the same.....

Lastly, can someone tell me exactly how much gap should be between them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The 1994-98 stripes are not shorter. Saleen hid the extra material under the door filler panel on 1994-1998 vehicles.

Lastly, can someone tell me exactly how much gap should be between them?

It was my understanding that the 94-98's were longer by 3/16-1/4" Dave. Can you confirm?

The 94-98 stripes were longer and I cut them to the door when I changed mine. The spacing I don't remember, but I think I looked at a picture of a SC and guaged it perfectly. Joe Gosinski thought I had a real SC when he saw the car.

No. I don't believe I saved / collected stripe kits (other than accidental purchases).

I have a memory of seeing what appeared to be standard 3/4" wide masking tape used as a spacer between the chevrons on an SN-95 conversion.

If you look at the 1990-1991 SC models, some have chevron gaps tighter than others.

From the way it appears, there were multiple suppliers for stripes from 1984-2008. Meaning there could be general differences from a kit purchased in 1990, to one purchased in 1997, to one purchased in 2002, to one purchased in 2007.
