Q: Series VI lid bolts torque specs?
Can anyone give me torque specs for the bolts holding lid to supercharger? I am removing it for powder coat and want to make sure the job is done to spec. Thanks.

SuperShaker manual says 18 foot/pounds for the ram air style lid.
http://soec.org/literature/manuals/ Not sure about the normal stock cast lid. |

I’m glad you posted. I torqued mine at 18 ft lbs and was crossing my fingers that it was correct. The Powdercoat job turned out awesome.

When removing the supercharger lid, is there a gasket that needs to be replaced or fipg?

There is a gasket. It will not need to be replaced as long as you don’t bend it (it’s metal). My lid came off and the gasket stayed on the supercharger. I could have easily lifted it off. It doesn’t stick to either surface.

Cool right on.... taking notes for supercharger removal as I think my supercharger snout might be leaking.. I know the lid is not required to remove while removing the whole unit, but d ont really know how heavy the whole assembly is and anything I can take off will help...

They are really heavy, I use an engine lift makes life easy and you don't have to remove hood.
Once you remove the water crossover you can access the lower heater hose clamp. You have to take By-Pass valve off to access the rear hold down bolt, be careful it is easy to drop the holding screw into valley. I replace my screws with studs as I found it easier to get nuts on the studs when assembling. Other than than it is pretty straight forward. Tony Tony
