Question Q: PJ #501 - Dyno Info?

Hello Group, Happy New Year!!!

I'm the third owner of PJ 501, having bought it in October, 2019 from it's second owner. I think that the Saleen s/n is 07-0501 but I can't confirm that now since the car is stored off-site for the winter.

I'm curious to know if there's a way to obtain a copy of dyno test results which may have been performed on the engine when the car was built. Thanks for any information available.

Hi

Not all Parnellis were dynoed new. I own #45 and #46 and only #46 was done it made 335hp
I also tried to get the figures for #407 when I owned it and it wasn't done either
The guy who actually done them was selling them on this forum to recoup money he had lost.....maybe try him you may get lucky.

Tony

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the reply and the information. Late last week I did make contact with Mike, the technician who ran the Dyno tests and has access to all of the results, and he has agreed to check his files to see if he has any test results for my PJ. I now await that further information.
By the way, are you anywhere near the Australian wildfires?
Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard

We live in the Adelaide hills and thankfully nothing close by although there was a grass fire 3 miles away last night quickly put out by the firies.
The bad fires here in December were 20 miles north of us and the current bad ones are on Kangaroo Island about 10 miles of the coast of south Australia which has already burned over 1/3 of the island 80 houses lost as well as tens of thousands stock sheep and cattle. The authorities are saying at least 30,000 koalas have been lost on the island and it is still an active fire.
The worst fires were in the eastern states and over 2000 homes and businesses lost.
Sadly quite a few of these fires were caused by arsonists.

Glad to help with PJ information, I can copy the dyno report for #46 and send it to you as a reference if you can't get yours

Tony

Hi Tony,
I'm glad to know that you're out of harm's way but sorry for the others affected by the horrible wildfires. I also hope that they bring to justice the arsonists who started some of them.
I've learned from Mike that PJ #501 was not sent to him for testing. So, yes if you could, I would love to see the results from testing on your #46.
Thanks again,
Richard
