Default Q: Exhaust Upgrade?

Just purchased a demo, 2008 Harley Saleen 105 Anniversary F150 Supercrew, to go with my 2008-105 Ultra.
The truck sounds good now, but I would like a little better (louder, throaty) sound, without going overboard. Suggestions please, and thank you in advance.

You could pick up one of the rear exit S331 exhaust kits on Ebay for $399. They were made by Edelbrock for Saleen. They sound great!

Most people get the Magnaflow side exit like the ones on the Lightnings. That is what I have and I love them!

Not to rain on your parade drum, but to the original poster, I would advise against this. The system sounds great, but it has awful flow characteristics and a terrible drone...at least it does to most of the S331 owners out there. Although, it is a cheap aftermarket exhaust upgrade.

Thats funny, I have never had any customers complain of any of those qualities, In fact, I have had numerous S331 change their Magnaflow system to this system because this one doesn't drone. But hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion...

Hello All I am new on here and I was wondering about upgraded exhaust. I purchased a 2008 Ford F-150 Harley Saleen supercrew and I was thinking about going with the S331 Supercrew exhaust side exit but I heard you would have to move the fuel filter and or motify the exhaust somehow. Does anybody know if this is all true or is there a different way to do it? Thanks

I have never heard of moving the fuel filter. I will have to check and see where the fuel filter is. I believe it is on the inside frame rail. The side exit runs on the outside. I have always been told that it is a direct bolt on with no other modifications. While the cheap price may be enticing, the side exit exhaust setup on the saleens is mediocore at best. several of us are getting rid of it.

I'm going with dynatech headers with magnaflow high flow cats true duel coming out in front of the rear tire similar to the S331.

Default Exhaust

I installed the magnaflow DIDO and had the dreaded drone as I posted a while back. Cut that off and installed the Hooker areo's and X pipe and ran the exhaust out both side behind the TIRE and have been pleased with the sound and the looks with no DRONE.

Talking Exhaust drone

I think there is some mix up on this saleen system
i have the rear exit system #56446
and on a f150 harley sc with 5.5ft bed the muffler ends up just after the back of the cab and with the exits all the way back at the bumper there is no drone

again in fact i wish it was alittle louder at crusin speeds

there is a set on ebay right now for 189.00 starting bid

you can also go on f150 forum and you will get same answer
from those guys

now on a s331 extended cab there may be drone but that i cant confirm all my friends have screws and we all have this system
that is where i first heard it

thx sorry so long but i just wanted to get my point across

Default Freaking exhaust

Learned at the beginning that the HARLEY and the SALEEN had different exhaust. I wondered about the post on buying the SALEEN EXHAUST AND no DRONE. After seeing the SALEEN set up I see the reason for the DRONE. On a S/C I can see even more of the DRONE, esp. with a cover over the rear bed. Just like a box for bass.
