Yes. The '01 had a Saleen flash. I had a Predator and ran into the same problem. If you want to run using a predator tune, you need to get your car flashed by Ford with a stock GT tune.
When I found out that was how I had to use the Predator, I returned it and bought a SCT XCalibrator II after alot of research. The XCal II can read and store your Saleen flash and write new programs to the car with no problem. Additionally, the programmer can hold 3 custom tunes (not including your Saleen tune) at once. With a Predator, yo can only have one tune in the device and in your car at once.
Send the Predator back and call JMS Chip & Performance. They have great deals and great programmers over there. They have been featured in several mustang mags for their tuning and cars.
