Default Q: Racecraft 14" Brake Option?

I just want to double check this, but on a very few Racecrafts they had the Saleen brake upgrade. It was just the fronts right(calipers, rotors, ss lines). Nothing in the rear was changed, including rotors right? I want to do my upgrade as if it was an option. They are a nice set of Stoptechs for the price.

Yes the Racecraft had a brake upgrade that had red calipers with Racecraft on them. Nothing was done to the rears at all. I am pretty sure I have 1 set of these brakes left from production. Please contact me at jalbright@saleen.com and I will get pricing for you on them and pictures if you would like.

Thank you
Jess

The red Racecraft logo StopTech calipers were a 2009 option for the Racecraft Edition. The few we've seen equipped with them seem to be later production '09s. Just a side note.

Anyway, great upgrade for your Mustang! Hope Jess still had the red ones for you. A fairly uncommon item that you will not see again.

I cannot stress enough how uncommon these Stoptech calipers where on production 420S Mustangs. So, these are a great find for a Racecraft owner. Congrats!

Best to phone Jess Albright in Speedlab Parts for the 14" Racecraft label StopTech kit and to place your order. Then report your findings for others here.

Well Jess hit my credit card and they are on the way. I know the racecraft are the black sheep but still in the family. This is my car.

The red Racecraft calipers are a nice looking setup. Back in the day... I saw two 420S coupes with this option.

Dave, I know this post is old but I have the 2008 Racecraft. I belive mine came with the 14 inch big brake upgrade. Calipers are red but no writing at all. Could these be Saleen? If so i'm looking for a part # for the pads.

The 14" front brake upgrade was offered in 2009 for the Racecraft 420S. These calipers are bright red with white "racecraft" text on the face.

Please take a photo of your calipers. Some folks were installing Brembo GT500 take-off front braking back-in-the-day.

Both the SALEEN and racecraft 4-piston 14" front brake kit were produced by StopTech.

Those are correct Stoptech 4-piston calipers. Do the bodies look repainted?

No, they don't look repainted. Do you know a part number for the pads? I only ask because you seem to be a book of knowledge. Thanks Dave
