Q: Cleaning interior fabric?
Question?
Has anyone tried to clean the door panel fabric insert panel? Took the door panel off and the original color is shown on the edges and what a difference. |

Appreciate any help,
I was able to remove the fabric from the door insert and used liquid soap and water which took out most of the dirt residue. Looks better but fabric is so brittle and not easy to stretch to form again. Has any one tried to make new inserts? See that owners need to re cover seats but not able to find accurate material and said that SMS is close. I had them send material but samples were off on texture. |

You must remove the entire door panel. After the Saleen flofit fabric panel is only held on by a series of metal tabs that are folded flush. However the fabric is glued to a fiberboard panel. You will not want to get the board wet. I would be more inclined to use a fabric / carpet cleaner, with an extractor, or shop vac to extract the cleaner after agitation.
