Default Help: Gauges & fuel pump not working - 2002 S281 SC

I have an 02 s281 sc car. previous owner had autometer gauges in place of factory saleen dash gauges. both aftermarket gauges were not working so I was rewiring them. like a knuckle head I didn't disconnect the battery and while removing the cheap wire crimps and 3 miles of electric tape two wires crossed. now the odometer read - - - - - - - and fuel pump wont turn on. Any ideas? thank you

Fuses. Whoever installed the aftermarket Auto Meters most likely tapped into something silly. Most people probe random wires behind the cluster. Tapping into wires behind the cluster with PATS enabled will cause a security breach and cause the the engine to shut off after a few seconds of running. I would check all cluster related fuses and then trace the wires to ensure they are NOT spliced into any cluster wiring.

Why would anyone discard saleen gage package ? it is one of best looking out there. You can always add a pod or something if you not satisfied with the readings.
