Default Q: Stock mass air and computer? - 2002 Supercharged

Putting together a 02 supercharged saleen that has a bad motor, put a stock motor and not supercharging it for now. New motor is stock including injectors, it runs but rough, I'm assuming I need a stock mass air meter as the one that was on it is programmed for the supercharged motor, 39s? Also the computer says supercharged saleen, is it internally programmed or is it supposed to be chipped? Because theirs not one their? Figured I'd double check if anyone here knows before I order both than have computed flashed to car! Thanx in advance!!

Default computer

You will need to have an sct chip or something to have computer tuned for new combo.Meter, injector size etc will be compensated for by a good tune. Good Luck.

Ok thanks My combo is stock now so is the stock saleen mass air a stock gt one? Or is it bigger and if so what are the sizes since theirs no markings on it? I Don't want to order a new mass air when it might be the same? Im not going to be getting a stock setup tuned-500 for 1.4hp! LolThanks jay.

I am pretty sure that in the SCed Saleens used the stock MAS. If you look closely at the plug connection, you can see where Saleen cut 2 of the wires and rerouted them. One on each end of the connector. I forget were why they did that.

Also, Saleen reflashed the computer with a new tune for the super charged versions. I think if you were going back to NA you would have to have a stock tune put on it or have a custom tune done to it...

Also, if I may ask, why did you not want he car Supercharged any more?
