Help: Worn diff clutch packs
Got a 99 SC281 with 22K miles on it. Heard a funny noise comming from the rear end. The Ford dealership is telling me it is the clutch packs. They quoted me a price of $1,200 to fix the problem! I think the diagnosis is correct, but the repair quote seems absurd. Is this a common problem? It really surprises me that a car with 22K miles can have this kind of problem. Anyone in the Richmond, VA area know of a good shop I can go to to get this fixed?
