Default Seeking info: 1999-04 4.6 SOHC Headers

Hey guys, I'm in need of some advice from fellow Saleen owners.. I'm having a hell of time trying to find headers that will work on my 02' Sc saleen... Apparently everyone I speak to says nothing will work. I call BS!! And the other people I talk too don't even wanna work on the car.. anyways, I'm looking for a decent brand and a model# if possible... Thanks again for the advice. Oh actually looking for full exhaust .. headers back..

I'm seeing big price ranges between BBK and Kooks headers.. is it the name that people are paying for or, are they just that much better than BBK? Also, I'm looking into a magnaflow exhaust would like an O/R H pipe but not sure if it will have that raspy sound.. on my old WS-6 I had an O/R "Y" pipe.. any feedback on this would also be appreciated. Thanks again.

I'm running Ford Racing shorties, and like Mr. Dawson said, any header for a 2v mustang will work.

I've been running BBK long tubes, with a X-Pipe and Steeda catback since 2005 on my 01 S/C 5-Speed. The sound with the long tubes is awesome. My shop had no problem putting them in, drop the engine down, install, put the engine back up.

I'm running on my 03 S/C, Kooks longtube Headers and Off-Road X-Pipe Combo minus the cats and it sounds awesome.

Bassani mid-lengths with matching x-pipe and cats on my 99. Had to drop the K-member to install but they have a good tone, not too obnoxious...

Catted:

Off-road:

I wouldn't recommend anything else. Awesome fitment making for an easy install. Amazing quality. I've had my hands on BBK shorties and Pacesetter long tubes and they were horrible.

I went ahead and ordered the bbk longtubes and magnaflow exhaust. Will be ordering the X pipe this Friday. Don't know if I want the catted or not... On my old 2000WS6 I had off road Y pipe and it was kinda raspy when shifting but sounded awesome.. wasn't a big fan of the raspy noise.... What are others thoughts on the off road compared to the catted??

Mufflers make a big difference on sound but with an off-road x-pipe, my car doesn't sound raspy at all. I have Borla Stinger mufflers.
