Default 05-0012 Windveil Blue S281 - Anyone know this car?

Hello! New to the forum and starting to look for an 05-06 S281. For the moment I've narrowed it to Windveil Blue. The link below (hopefully it works!) is a 2005 at Blacks Automotive in FL. Does anyone know anything about this car? It is from Louisiana which is a concern due to Katrina. I'm told there is no evidence of any water damage and the owner traded it in on a Lightning truck at Blacks. Any input on the dealer? Price seems a touch high compared to some others but I don't know the FL market.......

Thanks for your help!

The price looks right. Car looks clean from the pic but you never know until you see it in person

The price seems about right to me but it does have higher mileage. The interior looks like it needs some refreshing as well. I would say keep looking, unless you really like this car. Great color choice, by the way. I would say you could find one with a lot lower mileage and in better shape for only a few thousand more.

Unfortunately, you are looking for a Saleen during a time of the year when the sale prices are the highest and the supply is the lowest. I see you are located in NC. When I was looking for my car, there were tons of ads on Craigslist in NC. I would check all the localities and search there.

Thanks for the quick input! I'm not set on this one but if the price gets better I may have to fly to FL. Agree the driver's seat has a bit of wear from the miles. Blacks told me it had a slightly gray spot on the one bolster but could be dyed. Seems like they are trying to give me the full picture but in person is best.

I'm wearing out searchtempest! Found this one in Olive Branch MS with only 21k miles but priced accordingly.

Probably should wait until later in the year to buy but maybe I'll get lucky.......

If it is at Blacks Automotive then you are good. Just call them up, they have been a trusted Saleen broker for YEARS. They wont steer you wrong or misrepresent a car.

it's too much for a non s/c car. I would offer them $19500. If you are close to Utah there are a couple in this area i could help you find.

I personally would never purchase something from the south again. Even if it wasn't a flood car it may have rust everywhere a screw and bolt is hiding.

Abruzo -- no problem at all.

SloRide -- A car from that far south is definitely a concern on condition underneath. Not sure if Louisiana is any better than FL in that regard. It definitely factors into the price and is one reason I may just wait on something else. I'm going to see if I can get some better photos of everything. Utah is a stretch (2 days) but if I don't find anything closer I may take you up on the offer. Road trip!
