Default JDM Programer

I have the new programer in and it sure helped the trans. issue. I thing that the TQ locks and unlock to much with the stock setup. Ford as all was had that issue with there trans. At least in the later one's. Now it does not do that hunting I call it. I have talked to JDM and very pleased with the help I am getting. I hope to see them this weekend at Fun Ford in Atlanta.

Is that the SCT programmer that you got. Do you plan on doing anything else, like pulley swaps?

Yes it is. I am going to change gears. And if the headers come out them too. They say that they are going to work some other stuff. I hope to get more info this weekend.

All I can say is it fixed a lot of shifting issues. The truck is much better. Shifts great for now. I feel that ford should do somehting about the trans. But JDM has done a great job.

Did you notice any other performance increase at all with installation of tuner file?
I know that with my Superchips Flashpaq I had for my 2005 FX4 it gave it like 10-15 HP increase.

Anyone else have any more experience with the programmer from JDM? I think if this truck would go into the gear that I want it in it would make a huge difference.

Does the JDM upgrade eliminate the 100MPH governor on the truck also? That one caught by surprise!!

The programmer has made a big positive difference especially when towing. although i havn't tried it JDM said that the top speed would not change due to the driveshaft being a two piece unit and vibration restricted the top speed. may-be somene can confirm this? My brother keeps informing me that his Harley F150 will out run me and i would love to suprise him!

I spoke to Jr. at JDM this weekend and he stated that they raise the limit to 140 mph. If it is not for any reason, call Jr. and he will send you the tune with it removed. Enjoy your truck !
