I am at a loss of words. But for starters I will say thanks for me and everyone else. This is a highly remarkable business gesture that you have made. This was my first high performance vehicle purchase and I chose Saleen over all the other companies because of their prestige and accredability. Now this act supports the decision that I made in buying my S331. I can honstely say that I am proud to be a Saleen owner and look forward to doing business with Steve in the future with his SMS company. Again Thanks!!!

The latest from SMS is:
Before going to a dealer, an owner with an issue will want to send an e-mail to warranty@smssupercars.com and include details on your issues (when it started, what it does and under what conditions). Include your full Ford VIN, the Saleen year, model and production number, selling dealer and date, and a phone number or two just in case. You could also specify if the issue is keeping you from driving the car as your sole means of transportation. You may be referred to a specific dealer, but you will be contacted by e-mail hopefully within 48-72 hours. Keep in mind that generally you're going to need to go with a Saleen dealer (or former Saleen dealer) who will be familiar with Saleen vehicles and be willing to work on them. And keep in mind that this is a new program and they're trying to get up to speed. |

I just emailed SMS Supercars requesting warranty information about my car and someone replied 3 minutes later... on a Sunday night! Now that's what I call First Class Customer Service. And the warranty question got a clear answer, too! WOW...

E-mail warranty@smssupercars.com to receive a warranty claim form or for additional details if you have a possible warranty issue. Last edited by Saleen Forums News; 07-24-2009 at 02:59 PM. |

I have a pending warranty issue (pending because I haven't taken the car in to the dealer yet), and Spring at SMS was very quick to respond and quite helpful. My thanks to the efforts of Spring and the people of SMS.

This additional coverage, and prompt initial claim response, is just incredible in the current economic climate, and something all Saleen owners should be proud of, IMHO. Fantastic update! :-)

got my check from SMS!
Just cashed my check from SMS for my little idler pulley breakdown a few months back. They just about covered the whole expense...Galpin Ford in North Hills should be covering the rest. Just like Spring said it was on the way from the first batch of claims. When it happened I talked to a few tuners who seemed to think SS was just pulling our legs, but the proof is in the pudding!

Supercharger Issue
I have an 07 S281 and my mechanic has said that he thinks there is a bearing going out in the supercharger. I have called and faxed in the warranty sheet to SMS and have not heard anything back from anyone yet. Has anyone else had any problems with their superchargers???
