Default Installed UPR Upper/Lower Control Arms!!! (Pictures)

Well a buddy and I installed some UPR Upper & Lower Rear COntrol Arms on #03-0061 today. All in all it took 3.5hrs from start to finish....not too horrible of an install.

Results: WOW, this car drives so solid now. Much better handling, great response to steering now. Launches seem to be similar, but you can definitely feel that the rear end is much more solid. Worthwhile mod, Highly recommended!

I want to do that mod, but I'm really scared of squeaks and creaking noise due to the poly bushings. Keep us updated!

Not to highjack your thread but here is mine with Granatelli upper and lowers. They due help in traction I can attest to that also especially when your trying to lay down 13inches of rubber.

I have the maximum autosport suspension on my front of car and they are amazing. I take turns at 100mph on 45 zone turns like nothing. It takes all the force away. It is awesome. The only thing is, the yellow saleen suspension looks tight and it was hard getting rid of that stock piece

Well if you put them side by side, they are pretty much the same:

UPR:

Granatelli:

Steeda:

Lakewood:

Maximum Motorsports:

Hotchkis:

Or some adjustable ones from Maximum Motorsports:

Steeda:

Or even these:

Lakewood

The round tubes will be more superior due to the design, you don't see square roll bars/cage. Just depends on how much you want to spend or what name you like. Just my two cents though.

I near nothing but horror stories of UPR from products breaking to bad customer service. I bought a maximum motorsports bump steer kit off eBay, the seller sent me a UPR packaged product sealed direct from UPR. Very ticked off, reporting him on eBay and paypal, getting my money back. His name is billet depot, he's a warehouse seller and just uses popular keywords. Should of known better on the deal he gave me, you get what you pay for. If any of you disagree, you probably wouldn't have a saleen, you would just have cloned a gt, just something to think about.

Easy on the F cloned part, LOL!!! I have bought some things from Billet Depot and had good luck, not trying to promote him in any way. I would get your money back for sending the wrong item though.

UPR(Unauthorized Parts Reproduction), just what I have heard, never bought anything from them though.

It was a typo, I ment of cloned, I edited it and put have. Coderedsaleen, your car is a whole other ballpark. Probably the fastest on the board minus a 725hp extreme, but for an s281 you got best car in my book. 3 piece wing and center exhaust FTW

I have bought UPR multiple times on a few Mustangs...no problems to date! Have heard the stories of bad experiences but have not heard anyone lately with hands on bad experiences.

Hey sonic.....could you post up instructions on what you did to replace them and any problems you ran into? Feel free to chime in, Tim (or anyone else that has done this)

I bought a jack and some jack stands this past weekend (inspired by this thread). Unless help suddenly falls out of the sky I'll be attempting this one myself and I want to make sure I don't screw it up!

Nobody yet. I was going to do it soon...but money is tight since I'm building a house. It'll be more fun to install it over the winter in my new garage anyway.

I plan on keeping my car for a long time, so I don't skimp on parts. Based on that I'm going to hold out and get the Maximum Motorsports fixed lower control arms. I've seen a lot of glowing reviews on them.

seems like mm is the only way to go...
I spoke with Maximum Motorsports and they don't recommend replacing the upper control arms because you need those to flex in order for the suspension to work properly. They consider all of the upper control arms on the market to be a performance downgrade from stock.

I trust them over other people.....so I'm holding out for this one:

Extreme Lower control arm

I'll leave myself open to the criticism that maybe I'm paying a lot more than I need to for LCA's......but I haven't heard a complaint about an MM product yet.
