I would do the research, look up the brands you would put on a mustang and then look up sound clips online for that product on a mustang..

Yeah anything you do will change the sound, if you remove the cats and add an H-pipe it will sound louder and deeper. If you leave cats and add an H it will pretty much sound the same. What i did was long tube headers with a catted X-pipe and a full custom rear section eliminating the center exit exhaust but had the tips welded in to stay at the center exit, they are just for show now and always stay shiny! The car is not too loud unless you really get on it, it is just very deep and toned with hardly any rasp.

I went with Pypes High flow cats mid pipe and love the sound not to loud going down the hwy but get on it and its loud. 05 Saleen up have the Magnaflow mufflers stock. Id put in a brand you like H pipe with high flow cats , if thats not enough get headers equal lenght shorties if thats not load enough get those Flowmasters it will be loud LOL.

Default What is the Difference?

Can someone please tell me the difference? Other than the cost and one comes with cats and the other one doesn't. I want to know what one is easier to install, and if I go with #15485 (OEM cats) will it produce less HP than the other one because they are different ie: "HIGH FLOW CATS"?
Will there be any point in getting the #15448 because I can just get #15485 because I have HIGH FLOW CATS?

Our favorite flavor is Dynatech Long tube, Dynatech intermediate tube w/cats, and Magnaflow "Magnapack" mufflers in place of the Saleen/Magnaflow mufflers. Sounds MEAN!

Any pics of this set up? I had the magnapacks on my 98 GT but it would be different with the turn downs and center exhaust right?

Here's the best picture I have. The mufflers are hidden by the diffuser.

Jason,

as you know my current set up is Kooks LT with high flow catts and a H-pipe. Will adding the Magnaflow "Magnapack mufflers" make a louder sound than the regular Magnaflow mufflers?

Thanks.

Terry

Anybody ever see this custom exhaust? I came across it randomly while searching on google. Looks similar to the Boss 302 track exhaust

I'd like to see under car shots of that side exhaust. Wonder what hit it to rip through the metal right at the bottom of the rocker.

I'm sure it sounds like a Kooks set up, can't see header brands changing the sound that much.

We're doing a Dynatech header install on a E-car next month. But when it comes to comparing sound, Kooks or American Racing Headers will be pretty compareable when it relates to sound. We prefer the Dynatech headers the best. I have a car in the shop right now with Kooks, and they are nice, but setting side by side we prefer the Dynatech.

Wondering about comparability to swap out stock mufflers? A friend is parting his car that has Bassanni race mufflers but wasn't sure what works with the dumps. I haven't really investigated down there but thought I'd check before installing my diffuser

We just installed a pair of Magnaflow "Magnapacks" on a 06 S281 and it sounds amazing! We were able to even keep the center exhaust functional! Sounds AMAZING!
