Default Tunning my 1999 S351... Need Help!!!

Ok so I have this problem.... Car dynoed 425 rwhp a couple weeks ago which was great. Unfortunately when it was on the dyno the guy basically gradually takes it up to test the power its makin and of course it didn't break up. When Im on the street and I get on it it occassionally breaks up mid-higher rpm ranges. At first I thought I was hitting the rev limiter but I figured out that wasnt the case.
If you could read the dyno sheet it clearly shows a strong surge of fuel near 3k up until approx the 5k range and then it recovers nicely to normal levels. The guy who dynoed it said (who was a retired Saleen Tech) said that the technology was a touch old and he didnt want to mess w the car because of the low mileage it had. I've been aware these cars are known to have poor tunes but I could use some help. There's gotta b a way to fix this issue. Thanks

Im not sure what year your car is but all S351s are tunable, its just a matter of which method. If its a pre 96, it has a EEC4 processor and it gets a chip to alter the tuning. If its a 96 or later, it has a EEC5 processor and it can be flash tuned. Sounds like your car is going rich and it may have some spark blow out, who knows. The stock tunes are supposed to be conservative to keep Saleen from replacing a bunch of engines under warranty. I havent checked mine yet but am going to in a month or so and Im gonna alter its tune to run on 93 gas, and turn off a bunch of emissions junk built into it. OBD2 can be turned off which makes a difference as well. Make sure your belt is good and tight, plugs gapped right, and timing is where it needs to be. Sticker under my hood says 10 degrees advance.

Yo thanks bro.... My car is a 99 vert. I don't suppose you know where I can get the chip or whom I may bring this beast to so I can get er done right??? It has an offroad H w flowmasters customed underneath. Thinkin about goin back to borlas, they seem to sound almost as throaty and have a wider range of tones to them especially at the higher rpms. It sounds more like a race car w them on (similiar to the days of watching them race at the 24hrs of Daytona). I also have a bassani offroad x but I heard it takes away from the throatiness. Gunna try and slam that on soon w the flows to see how it changes the sound.
Hey sweet collection of cars btw.......

99's don't have FMU's. Check the gap on your plugs.

Well, if I were you, Id research a few good shops around your area. You just took it to one so maybe you can go back and tell them tune it to perform the best it can, not leave it stock. Id love to hear a S351 with a off road pipe on it. Mines all stock and I'll bet a offroad pipe on it would sound great. Check your plugs and keep us posted. Any pics of it?? I have some of mine but dont know how to post them. Later!

It should make more than 425 RWHP. My 99 with just an off road X-pipe and power pipe made 496 RWHP through an AOD. Swapping back to the 6 speed made a huge difference.
