Cool C&C Western Massachusetts

We are putting together a Cars and Coffee event in Western Mass, this will allow Saleen owners in New England to gather every other week as a starting point to help develop the region.

I hope to have a cruise after the event in southern vermont after one or two of the gatherings. I am waiting on Kringle Candle to be the host, located in Bernardston, MA just off I-91. I will know by wednesday of next week. The owners of Kringle Candle are the original owners of Yankee Candle.

Kick off for C&C is tentively planned for May 1st and then every other Sunday from 7am to 11am.

Notices will be posted on our facebook page:

Thanks

Kringle Candle has accepted our plan and a coffee supplier has also accepted...

Now on to planning and logistics....

I want to invite all Saleen owners to the first event... tentative date is May 1st...

Now Saleen owners in New England have a place to gather and meet others with the same interest...

We had a great showing of Cars...

2008 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

2008 Lamborghini Murcielago

of course we had Saleen's .. this is Brian Dupree's car

2004 Porsche Carrera GT

Boss 302

1969 Cougar convertible

We had over 75 cars for the fist show.. not bad for word of mouth, a few flyers and Facebook...

Western Mass Cars and Coffee 2nd event will be held on Sunday June 12th 8am to 11am at Kringle Candle in Bernardston, MA.

Our first event had 75 cars lets double that number... !!

A special parking area for Saleens will be set aside.. we are planning on lunch and a scenic cruise through Western Mass and Vermont to Hemmings Motor News Headquarters in Bennington, Vt for a group tour of the car museum.

So far we have 5 Saleens from New England committed to go... we need more than that... The event location is 2 hours driving time from Boston, 2.25 hours from New Haven, CT and 1.5 hours from Concord, NH.

Email me at 2011saleen@gmail.com for more information.

Cruise route: Molly Stark Trail - Route 9

Heading west out of Brattleboro the road runs in the lower elevations along several river drainages and gradually rises to higher mountainous elevations. A variety of conditions are encountered along this route, including winding curves that follow meandering rivers and exciting twisting switchbacks with uphill and downhill grades. There are also some stretches of riding that present long ascending and descending slopes with gradual cornering. The road surface is in excellent condition through the majority of the routes length. The road is also noticeably well maintained with a large section having been completely resurfaced within the last few years.

Hi Tim, nice turnout! Looks like a good time, might have to burn some fuel and come out next time to check out the show. I'll leave the '70 skylark at home and just bring the saleen :)

Default Update

I have put out flyers across the region and I have reached out to Saleen owners and club members or not.

Since this is my event I have secured 16+ spaces for Saleens ONLY.... I can always add more.. LMAO...

Hemmings Motor News has been confirmed. We will have a cruise after the cruise-in and I have many cars looking forward to the cruise other than Saleens...

It will be really fun.. We will observe local laws, I don't want anyone to get in trouble with the cops..

Mike Kittredge told me he is displaying 6 cars... I don't have any idea right now which one's... he has too many 100++.

The pack out for the cruise-in will be around 160+, they are telling me only 100, BUT I know where I can fit some more cars... LOL

Kringle Candle store will be open during the event.. so if your hubby likes candles.. well there goes your bank account..

I have already have 9 Saleens confirmed.
I am hoping for a friend to bring his baby... a Seal Beach model which is lurking in Massachusetts... I can only pray..

I will send a broadcast email to everyone soon...

The event is listed here:

For pictures and chat go here:
https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/We...13179218707833

Hope too see everyone there...

We will leave Kringle Candle at 11am and head north on Route 5 and 10 north to The Four Leaf Clover Restaurant for lunch, it is a limited all-inclusive menu, which should only take us an hour. Then, we are off for a scenic cruise through Western Mass and Vermont to Hemmings Motor News Headquarters in Bennington, Vt for a group tour of the car museum. If we have time we will go to the Bennington Monument also.

Don't forget to bring your camera's

Remember to register at the SALEEN tent for the cruise!!!

Reminder next event will be August 14th and if the Saleen club want to come out in force we can have our own car corral up 20 Saleens together...
Tee shirts are on there way..

Thanks for adding us to your events email… I was pleasantly surprised…

We are into our 2nd season this year and expect to grow, over 200 additional parking spaces were added this fall and a new restaurant was added to the property. The "Farm Table" will be serving coffee or espresso along with delicious pastries from there Pastry chef.

I have sent out a broadcast email to all the Saleen owners in the Northeast. Those who I do not have email address for please send me your email address and I will add you to the list.

Our first event this year will be on Sunday, April 15th 8am to 11am. We will have a special Saleen Corral. Please email me if you are planning on attending. We are also working on a cruise after the event. We have 6 Saleens at this time and are looking for a bigger turnout..

If you are on Facebook, check us out!

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Western-Mass-Cars-and-Coffee/213179218707833

The rest of the season, we will hold Cars and Coffee events the 2nd Sunday of every month.

This will be a rain or shine event..

Thanks and Hope to see you there!!!
