Hello,

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to repair the rusted steel Mesh in the ground effects?

How bad is the rust?

The Mustangs do the same thing. The easy method is to remove the screens, brush with a scotch bright or steel wool and recoat with a quality rust inhibitor paint.

the screens are only fastened with a few hexhead screws , pretty easy to take 'm off, the ones at the lower rear valance can be harder to reach.

brush them and paint them and you're all set, it's mostly some surface rust just under the paint.

If you want or need extra mess I have a source for it, they are not cut to XP size, you can do that with some snips.

Saleenlocator,

That would probably be the best route to take. How much does it cost?

I don't remember what I paid, it was reasonable, The company is Hard Core Muscle you can email them at lizeth@hard-core-muscle.com tell him you want to purchase the Saleen Focus Mesh inserts a complete set. Let me know if you need anything else. Maybe Hennie will one day get us some deatils on the Carbon Mirror covers :)

Default What do I do, take measurments of the mesh?

There is mesh located in more than what place on the XP's ground effects, so what should I measure to determine whether it requires 4 x 5 and 4 x 9 mesh?

Do you know the part nember for the mesh or the hole size and spacing? I am needing a larger size to replace the baffles on one of the tailpipes off my 1998. Thanks!
