Saleens Take on Texas Motor Speedway - May 7th, 2011

Saleen Friends - It is once again that time of year for us take on the high banks of Texas Motor Speedway participating in the Laps for Charity which benefits Speedway Charities.

The fun will take place on Saturday May 7th. This event will be a bit different than the 2 we did last year. To start with, Dallas Cars and Coffee will be taking place the same day from 8:00 A.M. to noon. Additionally there is also a car show at TMS which is 3:00 - 7:00. The show is put on by the same group which does the Christian Classic Cruiser show in NRH. These are typically well organized and judged shows. We will have a full day of Saleen fun if you are able to participate in everything!

After Cars and Coffee, we will all meet at my home in Keller at 2:00 and caravan to TMS at 2:30. I have registered us as a group so we need to have 10+ Saleen's and we should be doing our laps as a group on the track between 5:00 and 7:00. After the show and laps around TMS we will caravan to Roanoke for a group dinner.

The cost is $30 for 3 laps around the track and the car show is $15. However, if you do both it is only $40. If you want a picture of you and your car in Victory Lane the cost is $10.

TMS requirements are as follows: Drivers must be 18 years of age or older. All occupants in a car including the driver must wear a safety belt. Passengers must be 6 years of age or older. No passing. Single file only. Pace Car will set the speed limit.
