Default 05+ SC Drive Belt Length Q's.

What is the stock belt length with the 4 inch SC pulley?

What length of belt is everyone using for the 3.6 inch and the 3.4 inch SC pulley.

What brand of belt seems to perform the best?

I ended up with an oddball 3.5 inch SC pulley so I am trying to find the best belt and length for my application.

Looks like I should have the Gates 1075 belt for my oddball 3.5inch SC pulley, according to JDM.

look at the part number on your belt, run the part number through Summit. Easiest way to tell.

On a side note.

Has anyone used a custom tune that was emailed to them?

How did it perform?

Where did you get it from?

Would you do it again?

How much was it?

Goodyear Gatorback 109" 6-rib is the equivelent to what comes stock. Gates is a good alternative.

JDM canned tunes are usually tip top. I had one in my car forever. Be sure to tell them EVERYTHING you have done to your car and it will run fine. $180ish for 2 tunes.

Yes.

Safe, but I think it leaves some power on the table.

JDM.

Yes, but only with a dyno run immediately afterwards to give them better feedback. (I just contacted JimIII@JDM to see if theres more power to be had after last week's dyno session.)

180 dollars.

The car's an 05 S281, Saleen blower setup, 3.2 pulley, JDM GT500 fuel pump setup, stock exhaust manifolds, 05/06 "Extreme" inlet setup, etc...

I put down 440 RWHP and 420 RWTQ, which I feel is about 30 HP short of my expectation based on what I've seen other people get from similar mods.

similar to big top I have the 3.4 pulley with a JDM tune and put down 420rwhp. I not have a BAP and LTs and may dyno it again but I expected a little more than 420 but Im sure its a conservative and good tune.

David,

Talk to JimIII at JDM. He said they send the tune with a very safe fuel curve, since they don't know if you're going to load the tune and beat the snot out of the car.

Once you can get him a dyno graph they can look at reworking the tune file.

I'm waiting for an improved tune that should put me in the 465-475 range. :)

If you look at my dyno graph, you can see that the power never noses over. It just pretty much keeps climbing up to the end of the run. When you're looking at the graph, what you want to see is a nice curve. (You can also see a little dip in the AFR around 4500-5000 RPM where it gets a little fat.)

Also, if you don't have it already, I would recommend picking up a GT500 dual fuel pump setup for your car and stay away from using a boost a pump. Overworking a single pump is really a band aid fix for a problem that can only be properly solved by way of a a better fuel pump setup altogether.
