Default 2001 s281 shifter knob?

I picked up a 2001 a couple weeks ago and it came with a carbon fiber looking shifter knob and another shifter knob in the glove box. The second shifter knob is wrapped in a black material, I guess it's a leather look alike.

Does any one have a picture of the shifter knob that would have come in this 2001 Saleen? I'm guessing it's the same shifter knob for sc and not sc cars, but not sure.

Thanks.

Default Verified Shifter Knob with Saleen

Not sure if anyone is checking this thread but Saleen verified the picture I posted as the original 2001 shifter knob as installed by Saleen.

Yes it is, can you post a picture of the carbon fiber one you have? Does it look similar?

I'll post a picture in a hour but the Carbon knob is shaped like the standard knob.

So that knob is worth some $ as well. A few cars and the Saleen catalogue offered the carbon fiber option!

Default Shifter Knob

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about leaving the carbon knob on and keeping the original to stay with the car.

Default shifter knob

Yes I believe both are Momo knobs. The leather one would have come on the car originally and the CF one would have been one that was purchased separately. I think the cars that came with the CF knob were limited to S351s with the "CF package" if you will which usually included the CF side mirror covers as well. But I am sure someone else will chime in who can tell you for sure. The CF one is definitely the most valuable and desirable one. Take care of both as they both have value with the car. Try not to scratch either with rings and watches and bracelets fingernails etc. I would personally leave the leather one on and take extra care of that CF looking one.
